Table Time is a new DVD about manners by the innovative creators of Time for Manners and Merlin Manners talking toy. The DVD features professional looking puppets who teach how to set the table, use a napkin properly and eat without grossing out your table mates. I am always thankful for opportunities to encourage my children to have pleasant behavior for the glory of God, and my children really got a kick out of the puppets and songs on this fun and interesting DVD.

The series was conceived by Holly Beth Moncher who has taught manners for ten years, and she certainly put her creativity and expertise to good use when creating these wonderful teaching tools. She also uses a great deal of positive reinforcement in encouraging the puppets' efforts. Hopefully we will use the same positive attitude to encourage our own little munchkins as they learn with this easily implemented manners lesson.

Tara and Tyler are twins who want to use good table manners, but don’t know what good manners are. So with the help of their mom and Merlin Manners™ they’re given short tips towards achieving their goal. But it’s not all about dos and don’ts; the twins playfully discuss each tip and reinforce those tips with fun, short, upbeat songs.

In, Table Time, children learn to how to be polite by saying things like, “please” and “thank you.” They also learn how to set a proper table, how to use silverware, why chewing with their mouths open is wrong, how to socialize during mealtime, and more!

Everything about this video is fun and entertaining. But what I am pleased most with is how the children discuss why table manners are important, instead of just giving children a list of rules to follow. Because the reality is, when children understand why something isn’t acceptable they’re more inclined to follow the rules.

“Yahoo! Time for Manners’ Table Time, a lesson in table manners for children that covers everything from setting the table, to leaving the table after a meal. The lessons are presented in such a fun, easy-to-understand way, combining songs with puppets, that children can't help but stay glued to the show. Be the first to get it! My kids loved this manners reminder, and were anxious for the next meal to see who had the best manners!”

"I remember that in my family I learned most of what I knew of manners from my grandmother, but grandparents aren't around families as much today as they used to be. Everybody is so busy. This video should grab children's attention and help them remember good manners."
